Marjorie Singley-Hall

Marjorie Singley-Hall is CEO of Ampersand Associates, Inc. Ampersand Associates, Inc. is certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.  

Prior to forming Ampersand Associates, Inc., Ms. Singley-Hall was president of an Atlanta-based search firm and a partner in a regional search firm. She was also Partner and Managing Director of Life Sciences and Healthcare for Eton Partners, LLC, a boutique executive search firm in Atlanta.  Prior to her corporate consulting and executive search career, Ms. Singley-Hall was heavily involved in the insurance industry as owner of an insurance training school and a licensed insurance agent.

Ms. Singley-Hall serves on the boards of GROWE, Inc., O2 Secure Wireless, Inc., and EyeMail, Inc.

Ms. Singley-Hall is the founder and currently serves on the board of the Human Resources Society of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) and is a former board member of TAG. She is an active member of the Board of Directors Network (BDN), the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), and the Atlanta Chapter of the CEO Netweavers. She is also a member of the Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Healthcare Foundation.

Ms. Singley-Hall chairs the Atlanta Advisory Board for the Women’s Leadership Exchange. She is Founder of the Atlanta chapter of Women’s Association of Venture and Equity (WAVE).  

Ms. Singley-Hall is active in the Atlanta non-profit community. She serves on the Children’s Community Board of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the Auxiliary of Shepherd Spinal Center, and the Advisory Board of the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance. Ms. Singley-Hall is Past Chair and a current Advisory Board member of the Atlanta Women's Alliance, Inc. She also serves on the Board of Advisors of the Women’s Leadership Forum.

In 2007, Ms. Singley-Hall was named as one of the Ten Women of Distinction for the State of Georgia by the Chick-fil-A Bowl and the Russell Athletic Shootout.

Ms. Singley-Hall is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism. She sings in and tours with the Cathedral Choir of the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Philip, and she sang as a part of the choir-in-residence in Westminster Abbey in London in 2003 and 2007, as well as in other cathedrals in England and Ireland. She also enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren, Hannah, Rebecca, and Patrick.

 

 

Jonathan Giuliano

 

Jonathan Giuliano is a serial entrepreneur, advisor and professional investor. He has started three operating companies in the past twenty years, all of which remain in operation.  He has sourced and closed more than $500 million in transaction financing and more than $200 million in corporate financing in the United States and Europe.

 

Mr. Giuliano has also held senior operating and consulting positions with global companies.  His experience includes general management and strategy as division president, marketing, finance and operations with mid-market and New York Stock Exchange corporations.

 

Mr. Giuliano has led corporate turnarounds and acquisitions in the United States and Europe, advising CEOs and boards of directors of more than 80 manufacturing and technology companies. In addition, Jonathan worked in public policy at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research and the United States Congress.

 

Mr. Giuliano received degrees at Colgate University and the University of Virginia, and he is writing a doctoral dissertation at Manchester Business School in Manchester, England on innovation.

 

 

Jim Simons

Jim Simons is Founder and Partner of Ainsley Park, LLC. He is responsible for turnarounds, acquisitions, and finance for operating companies and real estate. In addition to his responsibilities with Ainsley Park, LLC, he is heavily involved in an advisory or principal capacity with various turnaround and startup opportunities within logistics, real estate, financial services, technology, resort/gaming, manufacturing and telecommunications.

Mr. Simons has start up, turnaround and expansion experience in both public and private companies and has experience as a principal, operator or advisor in logistics/distribution, investment management, investment banking, financial products distribution, real estate, private equity, and healthcare. 

Prior to forming Ainsley Park, LLC, Mr. Simons was Vice President of Lehman Brothers, with a focus on mid market merchant and investment banking, and asset management business.  He was previously founder and operating partner for RS Holdings, Inc. in Ft. Lauderdale and Destin, FL which was a merchant banking and investment management Company that held or advised a broad spectrum of businesses.

Mr. Simons serves on the boards of VueLogic, LLC; Ampersand, Inc.;  EyeMail, Inc.; Brandmovers, SignUp4, and The Innovation Accelerator Initiative.

Mr. Simons is a former Army officer and was awarded the Bronze Star during combat operations in Operation Desert Storm.

He is a graduate of the University of Georgia.

 

R. Eric McCarthey

 

Eric McCarthey is President of the 7-Eleven Global Business Division with The Coca-Cola Company.  Appointed to this position in July 2004, he directs value creation strategies, business system design, product and service innovation, revenue growth, and supply chain support for one of the Coca-Cola system's largest and most complex customers.

With approximately 28 years of business, marketing development, operations, and general management experience, Mr. McCarthey has significantly contributed to the development of Cola’s sales and global business system, establishing innovative  customer and commercial leadership capabilities, consumer marketing initiatives, and increasing growth opportunities for Coca-Cola.

Mr. McCarthey joined The Coca-Cola Company in 1981 starting out as a territory sales manager.  Throughout his tenure he has held numerous other positions including division marketing director and deputy division president for the Nordic and North Eurasia division, vice president and managing director of the global Burger King account team, and most recently senior vice president of sales and marketing of the North American foodservice division.

Mr. McCarthey received his MBA in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado.   Mr. McCarthey consults with Emory University Center for Relationship Marketing and served as a board member, Audit Committee Chair and Lead Director, of Global Imaging Systems (NASDQ:GISX) and led the merger with Xerox Corporation in 2007.  He is currently a Board Member of Standard Register (NYSE:SR), as well as a member of their Audit and Nominating/Governance Committees.  Mr. McCarthey is also Chairman of the International Franchise Association Diversity Institute.

Mr. McCarthey is an accomplished author with published articles in "Inside the Minds", a special book publication on "The Art of Sales" by Aspatore Books and has an article that was published in the May, 2005 issue of Leadership Excellence called High-Impact Boards.  He has also published articles dealing with creating high-performance teams.

Mr. McCarthey is an avid photographer, reader, skier, and runner.  He is married and has a 17 year old daughter.

 

Heather Jones

Heather Jones serves as Director of Operations for Ampersand Associates, Inc.

 

Ms. Jones has 14 years of experience in business and technology education. Clients included public and private schools from the elementary to post-secondary level. Some of her past assignments included staff development, business education, and technology education for the Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta, Cobb County Schools, Douglas County Schools, Carroll Technical Institute, North Metro Technical College, and a number of small businesses.

 

Ms. Jones also has experience in grant writing and curriculum writing for multiple entities. She currently serves on the Christ the King School Advisory Board, the Community Board of Children’s Healthcare, and is involved with numerous community organizations.

 

Ms. Jones has her Master’s degree in Education from the University of Georgia, where she was a Blue Key Initiate. She currently resides in metro Atlanta with her husband and three children.

Paul D. Dopp, CPA/ABV/CFF, CVA, CFE

A Partner with Habif, Arogeti & Wynne, LLP, Paul Dopp has more than 25 years experience in forensic accounting focusing on corporate internal investigations, management fraud, economic damages, due diligence and business valuations.  Mr. Dopp has worked within a broad range of industries with a significant portion of his experience in the financial institution industry including banks, mortgage companies, insurance companies and pension funds.  In addition, he has significant international engagement experience with files in the United States, Canada, Asia, and the Caribbean.

Mr. Dopp has testified as an expert witness in Federal and State Courts and has testified as an expert witness on behalf of the Department of Justice in a multi-million dollar bank fraud prosecution. An accomplished public speaker, Mr. Dopp has authored articles and presentations on fraud awareness and the investigative issues of economic crimes to various law firms and accounting associations.

 

Lisa S. Jones

Lisa Jones is Founder and President of EyeMail Inc., formerly OnBrand Media Inc. She is a seasoned senior executive with more than 20 years of experience in senior management, business development, internet marketing, diversity segmentation, product management and technology sales. 

Ms. Jones created EyeMail Inc., with extensive experience in online marketing and a deep passion in internet technology. EyeMail is the state of the art next generation of email, designed to incorporate personalized audio and video in email, to deliver memorable business communications.

Prior to founding EyeMail Inc., Ms. Jones served in the Office of Supplier Diversity for AT&T/Cingular Wireless, the nation’s largest wireless provider. AT&T Supplier Diversity mission is to promote, increase and improve the quality of the overall participation of minority, women and disabled veteran business enterprises (M/WBE and DVBEs) in AT&T’s Supply Chain.

Before joining Cingular Wireless, Ms. Jones served as the Senior Brand Manager at MCI Corporation, where she was responsible for strategic brand positioning, new product development, and global expansion in Latin America and Asia to support new advancement in telecommunications.  

Prior to her career in Telecommunications, as a Logistics Implementation Director, Lisa was responsible for NASA mission critical projects for McDonnell Douglas Aerospace Corporation. Responsibilities included acquiring and managing large, multi-tier partnerships and seeking new, strategic business opportunities for development of new technological innovations.

Ms. Jones is a corporate member of the Georgia Women’s Business Council (GWBC) and the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC). She serves on the Board of Directors for the Asian Chamber of Commerce and the Dekalb Chamber of Commerce, in Atlanta, GA.  Ms. Jones is known as a community advocate and leader to empower Entrepreneurs and minority business owners to excel their business operations to the next level.

Ms. Jones is a native of Montgomery, Alabama and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Procurement, and a M.B.A degree in Marketing Management from Alabama A&M University. 

 

Dr. Tony Shuker

Tony Shuker is experienced in the science and the business of drug discovery and has seen the highs and lows of both. His career as a synthetic and medicinal chemist has yielded numerous patents in the United States and abroad, as well as several molecules in clinical development. His work as an advocate of the biotechnology industry has helped to establish several independent research and development companies.

Dr. Shuker was formerly a senior scientist at Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, where he held responsibility for leading a number of major drug discovery and development projects that resulted in multiple clinical candidates. While at Lilly, he led a team that brought a compound to clinical trial in 212 days, the fastest "time to trial" for a compound in the company's history. Following his pharmaceutical career, Dr. Shuker has been involved in a number of entrepreneurial ventures and served as president of the privately held NuTec Life Sciences and EmTech Bioscience. He was part of the executive management team of Somatocor Pharmaceuticals and founded Prism Therapeutics.

Most recently, Dr. Shuker was founder and CEO of Metastatix. Dr. Shuker serves on the Board of Georgia Bio and is an Advisor to the Emerging Leaders Network. Because of his dual perspective as both scientist and entrepreneur, Shuker has been in high demand as a speaker, addressing dozens of conferences and organizations. He has a First Class Honors degree from the University of Bath and a Ph.D. from the University of Nottingham in the group of Prof. Gerry Pattenden (FRS).

Dr. Shuker has also served as a SERC/NATO Research Fellow at Stanford University in the lab of Paul Wender, where he worked on the total synthesis of Taxol.

Dr. Shuker lives in Metro Atlanta with his wife, Stacy, and has two daughters, Molli and Lucy.
